My FS04 Is Dead

Please help. My FS9 refuses to load up. When launching from the icon, I get the standard loading page (the one with the Wright flyer and DC3) and that's where it ends. I went as far as to deinstall and reinstalled again successfully, but that is as far as it goes.

Please help with suggestions. It's like I've lost a close friend!

SAA, do the following:

reinstall directX on your system

go to start run, type %appdata%/microsoft/FS9 enter, delete fs9.cfg from there

try to run FS again, if it fails the same way, do the above again but delete everytrhing in the folder

if that still fails, try updating your video drivers.

STILL not working, uninstall FS again, clear the above folder, defragment the drive it was installed on, now reinstall FS but change the folder name.

no way FS should just stop running like that, something corrupted it.

Thanks for the advice. The Directx reinstall did the trick and it is up and running.

well while we're at it, can someone please tell me why my FS exits when I try to enter the Nav Log in the FS route planner. I just reinstalled FS to see if it worked, and I have downloaded the latest update and everything else works fine. very weird I think
