CAE makes commercial and military full motion and other training simulators. This is probably their proprietary graphics system, that someone has decided to label as FSX

This is your captain speaking. I’ve turned off the no-smokin’ sign. Hell, if the plane is smokin' why can't you?

I find it suspect too, and why are you almost only seeing emirates and korean liveries?

What are the chances that FSX will actually look that good, have all of the spectacular effects seen in that vid, and still be framerate friendly.? I have my doubts but I am still hoping.

well you don't know the hardware specs they used to create this video. I must admit that the lightning effect on the runway, the ice, and the snow effects looked pretty good, but I don't think the aircraft look realistic enough. Still waaay better than fs2004

As stated above - this is not FSX, or anything near to what FSX will look like. If you want these graphics, then be prepared to drop several million on hardware.

I wonder if the delay of Windows Vista will also have an effect on FSX, anbody an idea?

I was wondering that myself. My guess would be yes, since it's supposed to be one of the games that "launches" Windows Vista. I think they'll wait the extra few months to release it with Windows Vista.

Not sure they would want to do that as they would miss the Christmas sales rush.

Hi all,

I can tell you that Microsoft would never use "real" airlines as AI traffic. Korean Air and Emerates? One of those I caught in the video was an A380.

It is a pretty good video - but my guess is that it is a pretty good hoax as well. FSX will look better than FS9, no question. Some of the "features" outlined will actually be in place based on the actual screen shots already released. I think someone just made this as an example for what Microsoft should shoot for.

This video has been out for a while. One thing that I would like to say is that on the video it says ICE buildup will be shown on the runways in FSX, I find that BS because in real life I don't think significant Ice would build up at major airport runways because airports at cold climates have heated runways.

What good would it be if you open it on Christmas day and you can't play it!?
