- Out of the hundreds of screen shots I look thru, about half of them I see the "sound off" sign on. I was wondering how many people actually fly with the sound off? I persoanlly dont require it, but it can get extra dull without it, exspecially while enroute. Not that I think the sounds are dull or anything, most of my wav. files have been replaced with add on sound anyhow.

Always keep the sound on myself. I have added wav files too in an effort to add to the realism. Not to have the sound would be missing the experience in my opinion.

The sound of the engines roaring is half the experience of flying. I too have added on sound files for realism. FS9's default are not good. The planes all sound the same. Also they sound like giant vacuums. I would definitely recommend adding sound files to improve your FSim experience.
