What are your favourite airports to fly to in FS and why.For me any airport in the Caribbean or any other tropical island does it for me especially if it's an overwater approach and a short runway.

I never fly to default airports anymore...I've got good sceneries (payware or freeware) for just about anywhere worth flying to. Some favorites include:

FlyTampa's Seattle-Tacoma
Fly Tampa's Chicago Midway
George Grimshaw's Boston Logan
ISD's Rome Fiumicino
Finnish Scenery Designers Helsinki-Vantaa
The CDG freeware who's creators I can't remember
etc. etc. etc.

Next Flight: TBA!

SJO, GUA and HAM. I do lots of my "flight tests" at SJO by either doing a single circuit or a couple of touch and go sessions, along with a few MIA-SJO and YYZ-SJO flights every now and then, and the occasional transatlantic flights into SJO with MP, DE and IB. And then there's also the beautiful approach when flying into GUA on RW01. I did that only once on an AA A300 in the sim, and I intend to do it again sometime soon. Big grin

As for HAM, it's not only because it's my home town but also because I've done tons of flights into HAM, for example from DXB-HAM with EK, or even flying the very short LH2 FRA-HAM flight. My next HAM flight will be TFS-HAM on a DE 767, which I'll do sometime soon.

Dubai! I love the FlyTampa scenery and I do a lot of flights with EK aircraft. Also Sydney, Singapore, London Heathrow, and Osaka Kansai are high on the list.

My "Virtual Airline" is outta St. Thomas, as I love flying about the caribbean. St. Barthelemy (with updated scenery) is awesome. I love getting the Caravan or Shrike Commander in and out of there (on the mountain side :P )

I enjoyed Meigs airport in MSFS 2002 but now I like SABA and BIRF. BIRF is an add-on, but it is really an airport in Iceland. I recommend anyone to visit that airport in real-life.  Smile

This is the best freeware CDG i know of. Its from FS France. http://www.projets.fsfrance.com/RealCDG/CDG2004.php?lang=en

I left this site about 10 months ago but not being able to post any fs screenshots got me back. I hope to soon have a bunch of fs shots that i have taken posted in the other thread.

You misquoted me. You actually quoted Gunsontheroof. But yes, go to FSFrance.com and you'll find that CDG scenery, though it's a bit of a framerate hog.

For a fun and challenging airport, I like Lukla in Nepal. Another fun airport in Nepal is Jomsom. For another challenging airport, I like Alert in the Nunavut Territory in Canada. I've added in a weekly C130 flight to Alert and I like to go up there, brave the poor visibility and watch the C130 arrive and depart in the driving snow.

I did this but in the hawaiian islands in a britten norman islander it's cool landing on a 1000ft dirt strip the islander is the perfect a/c for it

other of my fav's are MAN and HKG Kai Tak and U.S Airports

It's a payware, but definitely worth the money. FlyTampa makes many excellent sceneries, plus one of their designers is responsible for creating the best freeware BOS scenery.
