here are two screenshots from my latest Moscow-Copenhagen trip, and see what happened right after take-off. LOL

I use AI seperation, which isn't perfect, but improves my chances of not being bumped on my final. I'm also not adverse to cheating, and deleting aircraft that I know is going to cause me problems. It would be a nice improvement to FS ATC.

Wouldn't call that cheating since I do exactly the same! ! More seriously you are cheating because of the weaknesses of flightsim's ATC so no harm done!
Also a thing that really p***** me off is the fact that ATC orders you to descend way too early! Meaning that usually you end up flying at 3000 feet for about 10 minutes! Highly unrealistic! I immensely share the pain of people living below the runway lol

To make matters worse, they don't do that till they've started your initial descent too late and start the "please expedite your descent" malarky!

I simply don't enjoy FS ATC, I almost crashed my British Airways A319 one time that I was on approach on Belfast.
One time I was on a flight from MEX-DFW, and I don't know what happened and I didn't do anything, they routed me to MIA and I never got to my intended destination! A real bugger because I was flying under FS passengers and I lost about 500 points for diverting and for arriving late.

It did happen to me as well, but when I was flying BFI-SFO on an ER 727, and that was on finals. I crashed with what I believe was a US or NW 757, simply because ATC didn't keep separation between us.

1. Ignore FS ATC if it annoys you. They won´t kick your IFR flightplan unless you don´t answer them.
2. Disable crashes. All the invisible potholes, AI aircraft being pushed without any clearance, guidance and reason, and mid-air collisions make FS flying a real pain in the APU.
3. For more realism, buy Radar Contact 4. It isn´t perfect, but it is a LOT better than MS ATC.
Flying online is good, but on the flipside, you dont get the full amount of traffic around you which to me, takes away a huge element of the fun and realism.
Quoting Btriple7 (Reply 3): It has ended so many of my flights without even landing.

I agree. I used to fly online when I was involved in a VA and some areas were fun to fly in (like around New York) but when I flew my northern routes out of ORD to places like MSP and Green Bay, it was a ghost town up there and was really boring when flying.

www.vatsim.net and register as a new pilot (or new vATCO if you wish [I do both so best of both worlds ]).
After you've registered go to the downloads section and get Squawkbox 3 and also Servinfo which will show you all the online ATC and pilots that are currently connected.
Before connecting make sure you read the pilot resources as we follow real world procedures and are nothing like the default FS ATC.
NEVER CONNECT ON AN ACTIVE RWY AND MAKE SURE YOU FILE CORRECT FLIGHTPLANS WITH SIDS/STARS/WAYPOINTS/AIRWAYS WHERE APPLICABLE
