Hi

Was speaking to a friend who aspires to own his own airline one day (so do I) and he said he had come up with a new idea. Tell me what you think to it - I personally think it could work with some tweaks and careful research but anyway here goes!

* Starting up in MAN - With Focus Cities later on in Edinburgh and London (Gatwick I think he said)

* Destinations like TXL, CDG, BCN, ALC, and a few others - you could suggest some to me to pass on

* Inflight Entertainment - Radio on Flights under 1.5 Hours - TV on Flights Over

* Using Rented A320 A/C

There is a TV show called "mile high club" and the airline on it is called 'Fresh' and is based in MAN and also flys to Gatwick. Fresh flys B734s. The show was on TV here in NZ about 30 minutes ago

Nothing that's not already been done. Only USP I see is radio, but that's hardly going to bring the punters in. ALC already has a low cost service, CDG is already served with low fares with BA and AF serve with onward connections. Berlin served by only BA, perhaps an oppertunity there, and also BCN has two airlines already. Good luck to him though.

LOL, quite funny that they are actually trying to use the popularity of the TV show. Big grin I hope their cabin crew are not the bunch of freaks they have on the show... Wink A Finnish cable channel will have re-runs of the show during the summer.

AY and ANA rock!

The TV show "Mile High" was based at Stansted and not Manchester, and you're correct, the airline was called "Fresh!", flying B737-400's.

More info on the program Here

We've had this program in France too. At my point of view, it was really brilliant!!!  Wink

Flying is amazing!

Given that I just flew Stale Airways from Washington DC to San Diego with a very surly cabin crew after dealing with what appeared to be a 500 person check-in line manned by one grumpy person, anything fresh may be welcome.

Btw, Stale Airways can pretty much cover most US carriers.

Heya,

I am sad to say that there is already a 'Fresh Air' VA based upon that TV show. The names may be to similar for their copyright.

They are just coming into a FS VA, if not already in. When they started, they were all X-plane.

Thanks
Mike
