There was once a thread that talked about the symtoms of FlightSim addict. One was having a main Flight Simulator folder that took up half the harddrive.
Okay, right-click on the "Start" menu and go up to "Explore." Here you should get a list of all your computer's files. Find your "Microsoft Games" folder (it should be under program files): C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games (Just replace the forward slashes with back slashes)
Find the folder that says "Flight Simulator." Right-click on it and go down to "Properties." A window should pop up. Go to the "General" tab. Look at the size of your FlightSim files. If your files exceed 7Mb, then you can definatly be classified as a true Flight Simulator addict.
Anyway, post your file size, file size on disk, and number folders within.

After re-installing FS after my computer change, I cleaned up and didn't install stuff I didn't need. So, after my FS folder had over 40 GB of stuff, this is how it looks:

I just used a program called ACA2005 to pull up the stats on my install:
Number of Aircrafts installed: 337

Number of Airports used in Flightplans: 278856

Size of Aircraft map: 10.97GB
Size of Flight Simulator Map: 16.83GB
Much of my install is AI aircraft related (textures and flightplans) but I have recently gotten into the scenery bug.
