Upon checking the Simflyers site further, the "free" sceneries are actually just discontinued from being sold. You can download the demo, but you can no longer obtain the registration key necessary for the full version. Apparently this stemmed from some dispute with one of their designers who left and went out on his own - and the sceneries listed are all his.

It would appear not, unfortunately. You can still download the installer, but to upgrade each scenery download to the non-demo version requires a 700-character activation code that you had to buy from Simflyers.
Since they've parted ways with the guy who created those sceneries, they're no longer selling the activation codes.

Actually, they packaged their KLAX, KIAH, KORD, KMCO, KATL, and KJFK sceneries together, changed their name, and charge you 25 bucks for the pack. Not bad for about $4 an airport.
