After hunting for one, I cannot find a 1:400 model of the An-225 and thus have decided to scratchbuild one (or at least 5 for various reasons), so a couple of questions.
Most sources say the An-225 is based on the -124 with a few noticable differences:
- larger wing
- larger number of MLG arrangements
- lengthened fuselage
Does this mean cross section wise, the An-225 is technically the same fuselage as the -124 or does it differ in other ways?
If this is true, I can take a current -124 and lengthen it myself, along with replacing the wing and landing gear - sounds better than scratchbuilding the entire model (which I will do if necessary).
Does anyone have any good plans for both the -225 and the -124 I can use in this project?
Does anyone have any tips, tricks or comments that would come in handy?
Lastly, does anyone know of a 1:400 An-225 model that would save me the trouble
