Best Place To Acquire Retired Aircraft?

Dear High Flyers:

In an effort to fulfill a high falutin' dream, I am seeking a retired aircraft; even a wingless shell will do, and am wondering what sites or companies you have found useful when trying to locate one. I heard that a teacher in the Southwest turned one into housing and I find that a fascinating concept.

Please advise....
