Hey. I had no idea what to name my topic so sorry if some people got confused. It looks like I going to buy PSS 777 from Just Flight and I know PSS came out with a patch to fix some problems will that patch work with my just flight version?
Also overall how is it. Is the FMC like PMDG 737NG? I heard they have a simulator menu in the panel to chose different modes for FS? Thats about it I read some good reviews that said there were problems but it looks like PSS has fixed the problems with the patch I just want to make sure my patch works with the Just Flight version. Also how long should it take a Just Flight order to get to MIA if I order it Sunday. I thinkin 10 days?

You will have to get the update through Justflight, not directly from PSS.
PSS pretty much pioneered (nearly) fully functional FMCs for FS, everyone else looked for them as the standard for years.
There are always problems with any software product meant to run on all the miriad different configurations. PSS has a good track record for fixing what they can as appropriate, but there is a small group of extremely loud shouters who want to see them destroyed and constantly spread lies and exagerated tales of problems about their products and the company.

The PSS 777 is very good - the model isn't the best but there is a merge for the Meljet 777 series available. As for the FMC - if you can operate the FMC on the PMDG then the transition time is minimal - as can be said for all Boeing aircraft (and to the same extent with Airbus).
As for the patch - I cannot speak about this as I bought the download version.

Agreed, I personally find their panels one of the most intuitive to use, with click zones instead of the PMDG button menu.
Anyhow, if you buy the PSS 777 you shouldn't be disappointed.

Wrong.. you log in with your username etc. on PSS and then download the whole installer new, but if you bought the plane yesterday for example and downloaded it, the plane is already patched.
thats what I did and the problems are solved.

That's only if you get the downloaded version (which I recommend, since it's so much simpler). If you get the boxed version, JustFlight is the one you have to go to to deal with patches and the like.
As far as the FMCs go, if you know how to use the PMDGs, you'll basically know how to use the 777s. Boeings FMCs are similar, though not as similar as Airbus'.

I was very hesitant buying PSS's B777, but it has turned out to be my of my favorite planes! I use Meljets model as well, but the panel alone was worth the money.
Does anyone know if there is anyway to use the pss B777LR air. file with the Meljet B777-300ER model?

If I lost my files on my computer would PSS give me a link to donwload the plane again? In lets say a year. I been thinking about just downloading the base 777-200LR file and than use meljet.

If you purchase online you create an account which keeps a list of all your purchases and you simply download the installer from there. I've done this numerous times for different reasons and have never been stopped.

MarBergi: or anyone else that has the PSS 777. I downloaded the base 777-200LR version and it is great! I read the manuels and know how most of the systems work and all, its alot easier to learn than 747-200 I learned before for FS9. But there are two things I cant figure out or find in the manuels. First how do I get the MFD pages ( you know the checklist, gear, fuel ect...) on to the PFD? And second when i was doing some T/O and climbs a landing altitude warning came up. why? How do I get rid of the warning if my T/O alt was set right and I am not landing yet.
Besides for that the plane is great! And I take it for a real flight in the mourning.
Thanks!

Okay never mind the PFD, MFD question I got that one, but the other I still dont understand. I know its for pressurization but I just dont understand why it went off durring climb.

You can change the PFD/MFD by opening the display panel. TO do this either click on the DSP button on the menu bar or click on the area cirlied below.
This is the bit that caught me out - if your flying from the 2nd panel you need to click the L-INBD button on the display panel. This will make any selected sub-system display on the highlighted panel. If you leave it on LWR-CTR you can only see it in the Virtual Cockpit.

Is this the warning you get - if so I believe it is because the FMC is not fully programmed - I could be wrong as the only time I get this is when I don't program it.

What should my N1% be durring cruise. I getting around 87-86% durring cruise but only at .80-.815 mach. I would like to go .84 but dont want my fuel burn to be to much.

You can display the LWR-CRT panel on its own window within the 2D panel. I'm not in front of it now so I don't remember exactly but in View-> Instruments you have the option to do so. There might even be a clickable area somewhere uder the "Boeing 777" inscription for the window to pop-up.
On a side note It's funny to see how everybody seems to like the PSS777. I mean, it's good all overall but nothing exceptionnal. The LNAV/RNAV functions are rather erratic (try a SID with close waypoints and sharp turns!), the FMC is far from being fully functionnal (come on, no FIX page, WTF...), the load editor won't allow you to set-up cargo independently from PAX number, flight dynamics could be tweaked a bit more, especially for the 773ER (impossible to T/O at the suggested trim settings and Vr).
This is the best 777 available on the market, but very far from the best add-on.
