just to let you all know; I just received my copy of the new justplanes dvd on the Silkways 1L-76TD and I thought it was really cool....a bit tough to understand the pilots but it was very unique and the glass nose landing views rocked....just thought you would be interested. -Josh

I was going to order that in the next week or so, is the engine noise on takeoff and landing very loud and clear or garbled like some of their other DVD's?

the engine sound is clear however there doesnt appear to be a huge idle-TO power range....as in the noise doesn't really rise as much as I thought it would....I'll tell yah though it really has this "soviet" feeling to the plane where none of the instruments are in english (russian rather) and its a just a maze of stuff....the engines are really creepy sounding too, a whine not heard in the US really. On that note I would tell anyone to buy it because its interesting and the views are pretty neat.

I'll briefly explain the reason for this... The engines are running on T/Off power for 2-3 minutes before they release the brakes, we didn't want to let the program run for minutes with nothing going on so we cut to a few seconds before they start the roll...
