From what I have read, it looks like the driving force behind Flight Simulator X's (FS10) awesome graphics will be the newest version of Microsoft DirectX. But it seems that this will be available only to Windows Vista. Does anybody know if DirectX 10 will be made available to Windows XP, and if so, will it be in time for the release of FSX?

Quoting Mir (Reply 3): Are current graphics cards compatible with DX10?
Supposidley, any newer computer with a "Windows Vista Compatable" sticker on it will be able to support DX10.
As far as graphics cards, I believe all of the more recent ones should be able to support it, but the newest ones will be based around it, and therefore, they will be optimised for it and Vista.
