Romulus, MI, Oct 1st 2006 – The latest and perhaps most significant advancement came to fruition today at MetroAir Virtual. The Detroit-based airline unveiled its long awaited Financial Schema following months of internal research and development. “I am very proud of our team,” said CEO Mark McCoy. “By utilizing our collective resources, we have been able to provide what no competitive VA has: a realistic financial background upon which we can build the realism of our operations.”
In conjunction with the launch of the schema, the airline also released a detailed financial statement for the month of September. MetroAir posted a net profit of $2.46 million for the month. Said airline spokesman Eric Boyken, “not only is the release of the schema a testament to our work ethic, it also highlights the success of our growth strategy; our Boeing 767 fleet which we added a few months ago now account for almost half of all ticket revenue which is a significant boost to our bottom line.”
“The numbers our pilots see is the real deal,” added Chief Financial Officer Clint Watson. “MetroAir pilots flew 242 flights last month which represented $2,249,860.62 in combined gross revenue and provided an economic bonus of $224,986.06 to our net revenue for the month. With this new system in place our pilots will see the direct impact, positive or negative, of their activity level on MetroAir.” The schema operates interactively on multiple levels, the cash flow being determined by levels of activity within the airline. Explains McCoy, “This new financial system is not just a collection of numbers, rather, it is the result of almost a year of proofing research, calculations and trials."
The airline remains optimistic about its financial forecast. The month of October will see the implementation of a revised schedule to meet seasonal demand which includes the introduction of MetroAir’s Next Generation Boeing 737 fleet as well as two (2) additional Boeing 767s.

...and some more news:
-------------------------
DETROIT, 12th October 2006 -- Today marked the opening of a new chapter in recent airline startup MetroAir's history with the entry into service of next generation 737-700 aircraft. The carrier's CEO and Founder Mark McCoy was quick to explain to the press the significance of this step:
"The acquisition of the state-of-the-art 737-700s indicates MetroAir's shift of position in the market from a fledgling carrier operating whichever aircraft we could afford, towards an airline that is stepping up its game as a strong force in a wider market. Operating a larger route network with a fleet that offers greater dispatch reliability and fuel efficiency enables us to achieve the ambitious goals we have set before us in becoming not only the principal low-cost operator out of Detroit but eventually a dominant carrier in the Northeast and beyond.
The aircraft are going to be deployed on many of MetroAir's principal high-yield routes that require high levels of service, as well as some exciting new destinations that up till now were out of reach of the older 737-200s and could not sustain service using their larger 767-200s. Chief Operating Officer Tom Collins:
"Until now we've been missing out on a vital market that sits between our mainline east-coast services and our longer haul large volume routes operated by the 767s. I'm also delighted to say that we've run the number time and time again, and we can see this aircraft becoming the future backbone of our fleet. Northwest, here we come!"
