Hello guys,

I am using my PMDG 744 very often and do loads of flights with it.
Yesterday I did a nice flight from VHHH back to EDDF and everything went just fine.

I left home for 3 hours or so, then when I came back home I wanted to do another PMDG 744 flight. So, I set up the passengers and fuel and cargo and entered the cockpit.
I prepared the aircraft as usual, like I do everytime. Programmed the FMC and then taxied to the runway.
Take off, lift off, gear up! LNAV VNAV engage and I flew manually up to about 1500 feet, then I engaged the Center Autopilot and then the trouble begins!
The autopilot followed the LNAV track BUT not the VNAV path... It just continued to pitch up to 30° nose up!!! So I disengaged the A/P and corrected it myself and then reengaged the A/P! Same result! Pitch up to 25°! Same happens when I use different pitch modes like LVL CHG or V/S... Always pitching up right into the stall...
I removed PMDG744 from my HDD and reinstalled it... Same problem! Nothin has changed... I dont know whats going on...  Sad
I cannot use PMDG anymore at the moment! I am not flying EDDF-KSFO manually all the time...

Anyone knows what was going on here?

Aircraft is within CG limits and operational limits!

Did you program the FMC correctly?
Check to make sure the weights and speeds are entered correctly.

If that's not it, contact PMDG.

I have a funny feeling Phil is fairly competent with FMCs  Wink  silly

I'm honestly not sure what the problem is, but it's probably worth taking a look at the PMDG forum to see if any similar problems have been reported.

Well, I guess the FMC is programmed problerly... Correct weights and speeds...

I found the mistake today! It was my joystick! I calibrated it the other day! Must've gone something wrong... So, the joystick always inted to PULL UP and did it! but not enough to make the A/P disengage! So I recalibrated it and now it is working fine again...

So, it wasnt PMDGs fault it was the joysticks Big grin

That was going to be my first response, since most PMDG problems are caused by newbies wanting to fly without "reading the instructions". Then I saw who was asking so I kept my mouth shut.  Smile

No problem. I wasn't so much having a go at you as just finding the situation amusing. Sorry!  Smile
