Please Help With Fs9

hey guys, just needed an explanation for this... Whenver I begin my approach the flight simulator always starts to freeze or lag. Does any one no how I can prevent this or get rid of it thanks.

I guess to start off we will need to know the following information:

Computer specs
Type of add-on scenery
What type and how much AI traffic are you running
What are your settings for FS9

Once we know the answers to these questions, then we can go further. I ask this because a low end computer system running FS9 with settings maxed out and a lot of terrain will cause freezing or lagging at times. I have seen this also when approaching an add-on airport with a lot of scenery to load.

Yes, or a dodgy add-on file. Does it happen at one particular airport, just the more detailed ones or all of them?
