Ok, Finally!! we have a decent professional Airbus Sim.

But, there are soooo many bugs!

1. Autobrake ahahahaha - on low it just dosn't do anything, i landed on the touchdown marker at gatwick (long runway) with light autobrake, i went off the end of the runway at about 40 kts. Medium isn't any better. Plus you are suppose to be able to manually brake if you press the brakes. This isn't the case, you have to disconnect it to actually make a difference.

2. I get a master caution every time i disconnect the autopilot??

3. Once T/o Config is complete, if i set parking brake i get master caution siren

4. NO Sids/Stars

5. It creates FPL Discont. for each fix that you insert

6. Don´t show the Go-Around in FPL Page

7.Don´t show the Alternate in FPL Page

8.Can´t make Holds at Present Position

9.On ND, not shows you the top of climb in the correct place of the route. And, if you pass the Top of descent, not show you the "decelerate" message.

10. Not shows you if you need more drag during desc. If you are above the profile, the aircraft gets a nose-down atitude (up to 10000ftpm) to re-intercept it, you´ll have Overspeed

11.Not shows you the vertical-profile intercept point.

12.Big one here, no Glide slope capture.... i was on ILS approach to gatwick and the auto pilot is so slow to respond to say... flaps going down one notch that i went off the g/s completely, the plane then overcompensated slamming into the ground. This was in no wind conditions.

13. No Go-around. If you set TO/GA, You´ll not have the SRS, a Go-Around Profile and the GO-Around Trak mode. No climb!!

14.You can taxi using ailerons...

15.No Overspeed Protection.

16.CFM Engine: 23% of N1 in Idle - It´s wrong...

17.Hydraulic System doesn´t works... When you turn off G+Y or G+B, nothing accours... And it shows you "Fault" with engines off... No master Warnings or Master Cautions...

18.Agressive Autotrim...

19. Another big one - When you select notch 2 and notch 4 of flaps you suddenly get a nose down or up attitude.... its all very sudden and you have to massively retrim the aircraft on finals

20. EGPWS sound is Boeing-Style. - cheap

Anyone else had any other problems. Will be an amazing addon if they get these things sorted.

Hi Chris

I downloaded it the other night, finally it has been released but...

I have noticed the same! Most of the bugs I've found however are with it crashing to desktop though, for instance when you select a DIR to in the A319 it just crashes to desktop, again with the A320 this morning on climbing out from Seattle it just randomly crashed to the desktop, with the gauge file being where the error is occurring. Hopefully there will be a fix for this soon!

That's normal Airbus behaviour - it mentions it in the manual. Depends how you disconnect - if you use the proper switch it warns you briefly. If you disconnect for example by using force on the controls, you get a master caution.

Don't quote me on this but again I believe this is normal. It is warning you the parking brake is on, so you need to take it off to take off!

I guess they'll be released to download - can you get the AIRACs and import them?

You can in the Airbus - it auto-coordinates in real life too.

Agreed, but there is already a file on Avsim to correct this that I have downloaded, at http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=97092

The rest I couldn't tell you about, these I picked up from the manual. It is true the Airbus is a totally different aircraft to fly compared to aircraft such as Boeings etc, even down to the throttles with detents rather than completely free moving. Absolutely everything is automated. It won't fly as you expect it to based on flying Boeings as it is so totally different.

I do think that most of it is down to understanding how the aircraft works, reading lots of manuals and books gives you a better understanding. I got very frustrated with the first Airbus I had, the PSS one. However, after reading the manual thoroughly I actually gleaned an understanding, making it easier to fly.

In summary, you can't fly virtual 737/747/757/any other aircraft then just 'hop' into an Airbus, it really is a totally different way of flying and couldn't be further from conventional aircraft!

Typical FeelThere, releasing a product before it’s finished. It looks dreadful as well; you should have waited for this - Airliner XP A320 - WOW (by Mir Jan 30 2007 in Aviation Hobby). Now that will be the business!

Quoting Christopherwoo (Thread starter):

Don't expect any of these for a long time, I still have the AIRAC from September for the 737 PIC, they haven't released an update since then.

Like the 737 a lot of things aren't modelled in the Airbus too, you can't even enter in custom waypoints such as Lat/Long, Bearing/Distance etc. amongst a great deal of other things in the FMGC. Oddly the PSS Airbus seems miles better, what a step forward by FeelThere!

FeelThere have got into a bad habit of releasing sub-par add-ons compared with the likes of PMDG etc. Why don't they take their time on development rather than releasing one in the quickest time possible which isn't realistic, doesn't model most things and is full of bugs! The mind boggles...

I know exactly why they've done it. There hasn't been a decent A320 addon for years, then all of a sudden there is FeelThere, AirlinerXP, and the AirSimmer one, as well as (rumoured) PMDG.

They wanted to be the first one to release an A320 so that they were seen as the 'first'. Unfortunately it seems they have rushed it and released an unfinished product.

It really is a shame as I have the FeelThere ERJ-145 which is excellent quality, which prompted me to get the A320. Unfortunately it seems their standards have slipped.

Cheers
Noel
