I'm on this wide angle kick lately, really wide. Im talking 12-24 range if you are shooting DSLR, 18-35 if you shoot film.
Anyone have any samples they care to share?

both of these were on slide at ~28mm...the widest angle i have at the moment....widest i've got on digital right now is the 24-85 which is killing me, i need a wider lens...something like a 17-35 would be great

That MD-11 shot is hot! I've been shooting recently with the Nikon 12-24 DX but it is a "digital only" lens. I have the Sigma 15-30 and it is a great lens, except I wish I could put something over the front element to protect it. I have asked Sigma to send me a 12-24, which is a "full frame" lens, but isn't as fast as the Nikon.
One thing I've noticed about going wide is you always want a little more. 24 seemed wide, then I tried 17, that was great until I tried 15, and I was thinking "Hell Yeah!" Now I have tried 12 and 15 seems weak in comparison.

Yeah, I ask various manufacturers to send me all sorts of photo kit, but it never seems to get me anywhere!!!

I prefer telecompression to wideangle, but on the ramp it can be quite nice.

Can be a bit tricky to use though - very prone to flare - I often end up shooting one handed using the other hand as a sun shade.
