Topic: Spotting In Hannover, Germany Username: Chukcha Posted 2012-10-11 07:07:50 and read 4086 times.Hi All,
Next summer I am planning to spend a couple of weeks in Germany and Holland. While in Germany, I will be mostly in Hannover. I was wondering if there are any spotters from Hannover on this forum? I'm seeking advice on spotting locations, and I would also like to know if the airport is 'spotter friendly'; in a nutshell - would I have any problems with the police and security there? It would be also nice to catch up with some spotters there. By the way, I speak a little German, so there should be no major language barriers .
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Andrei |

Reading German is no problem whatsoever; it is speaking that I need to practise more. It is not so easy, finding someone who is able and, more importantly, willing to speak German in Australia. |

At the airport you will always meet a lot of us and feel free to contact me (ChrischMue) or other spotters through the forum. |

- Bückeburg (ETHB) - Based aircraft: Eurocopter EC 135, NH-90, Eurocopter Tiger and Sikorsky CH-53.
General Aviation:
- Hildesheim (EDVM - 960m concrete runway) - Houses a company producing Gyrocopters http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyrocopter
- Celle Arloh (EDVC - 800m grass runway)
- Salzgitter-Schaeferstuhl (EDVJ - 950m grass runway)
Glider Fields:
- Ehlershausen (1000m grass)
- Celle-Scheuen (400m grass)
Heliports:
- Hannover Laatzen Messe - Only used during the big fairs up to 6 helipads.

I wish I could explore them all... But Braunschweig and the GA airfields seem like a must. |
