Don't get me wrong, this picture from Felix is fantastic, love the milky way. But, I am thinking if the acceptance rule has been bended too much for this one? It is hard to see the window frame, and not much else is from the aircraft.
Last year, there was another fantastic shot of milky way, but that one has the wing and winglet.

The picture gives a rare view from the front window of the aircraft. One does not want to see the window frame but the view. A more prominent window view would actually be a distraction from the content.

The rejection guide clearly states that we may make exceptions to motive and quality standards for creative or exceptional images, and this one certainly qualifies for that. I was glad to have screened it.
