The marketing department of the DFW International Airport is requesting if they can one of my photos for presentations to "the top executives at a number of airlines". Something bothers me about this request.
At first, I'd say yes because I'm a nice guy.
On the other hand, I'd like to say no because I've been hearing reports of harrassment of photographers at DFW lately. I'm not sure I'd like an airport to benefit from the photographers at other airports when they give photographers at their own airport grief.
Yes or no, let them use it? Here is the photo in question (by the way, I know the airport is wrong. I just noticed it and have submitted a correction request):

Well...........First off.....that is a nice image amd congrats on the opportunity.
As for allowing them to use it for a presentation, have they mentioned anything about giving you $$$ for you efforts???, if they have perhaps and if you are into helping out the photog community you could suggest to them you would be willing to give them free use of the image for this and future presentations.........IF......IF!!!!!....they would be willing to meet with a group of DFW area Anet photogs and work out some sort of agreement as to were they can and cannot photograph. Im certian that at least Jay Davis would love to have a opportunity to chat with them.
I am afraid that if we are going to start relationships with the local airports we are going to have be wiling to give somthing back.
By The Way........There are six of us Anet Photogs who would almost give anything to be able to get shots of aircraft on the runway and taxiway.KSEA closed the only public viewing area down 3 years ago.

I got this email too. I responded with the typical "what for, how much, how many" questions and told her I'd give her a fair price based on that information. I haven't heard back from her since, so what's that tell ya Mark?
This is either not serious or she's trolling in hopes of finding someone who doesn't know any better to give her the photos for free, which, sadly, inevitably she'll find.

You bet, I'd love to talk to some authorities at DFW !! Tell them you will ONLY let them use the photo if myself and a few of my closest airline photographer buddies get some ramp access !! Or, a "get out of jail free" card from the harassment we received from our wonderful Airport Board friend, Aaron and the DFW Dept. of Public Safety !!
What is really odd is that the photo isn't even taken at DFW. I swear, I have a shot that is very similar to that shot and it "was" taken at DFW. Now why they haven't contacted me? My feelings are hurt !!
