Hi Guys,

Will be going to Paris on the 15th Oct and have some time to photograph in the morning at CDG on either the 16th or the 17th.

Could anyone recommend a good AM spot, from sunrise to lunchtime, with the sun at my back. Alternatively, anyone interested in meeting a poor lonely soul from ZRH??!!

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Andy- A little off subject, but how did you enjoy DFW? I saw some of your shots from here. Next time you are in DFW let me know, I would really like to meet you.

Hi Wim,

Thanks for the tip.....looks like a great location and I'll be sure to give it a go!

Ryan,

Only passed through DFW transitting for TUL. So a couple of hours either side was all that I could manage. Met up with Joe Statz, a great guy! Next time I'm in DFW I'll let you know, and try to stay a bit longer!

I keep hearing stories that the police doesn't tolerate spotters anymore, also at the central taxiway spot (which I like so much) - any update on this?

Hi Andy,
do not forget Terminal 1 - just go to the departures level and go outside - ignore the signs, police are used to spotters being in this area anyway (in fact, you get kicked out if you do NOT have a camera Big grin)
You will be able to walk all round the terminal, and the bonus is that the "ceiling" blocks out that nasty sun glare  Smile

Landing aircraft will have to be shot with a 400mm lens (that unfortunately do not possess  Sad)
Have fun at CDG !

Thanks William. I remember using that spot many years ago, when there were such things as TAESA B767s, BA B737-200s etc.

Might try it again. Thanks for the tip!

Don't have heard about problems with the police at CDG during the last weeks. Last weekend some Belgian spotters were there and they haven't had any problems.
Keep in mind that they certainly don't like high ladders.
