Only passed through DFW transitting for TUL. So a couple of hours either side was all that I could manage. Met up with Joe Statz, a great guy! Next time I'm in DFW I'll let you know, and try to stay a bit longer!

do not forget Terminal 1 - just go to the departures level and go outside - ignore the signs, police are used to spotters being in this area anyway (in fact, you get kicked out if you do NOT have a camera )
You will be able to walk all round the terminal, and the bonus is that the "ceiling" blocks out that nasty sun glare

Don't have heard about problems with the police at CDG during the last weeks. Last weekend some Belgian spotters were there and they haven't had any problems.
Keep in mind that they certainly don't like high ladders.
