Dear Mr XXX,

I can provide photos for either personal or business use, but not sell
the rights to reproduce the photograph or let it be used by a third party.

From what your letter states, it would seem that you are more interested in xxx,
so this quotation will only apply to photos provided for personal use (i.e framing) as well
as usage in company literature WITHOUT the rights to the picture in itself.

Therefore, any photos provided cannot be passed on to third parties.

I also would like to obtain a copy of whatever literature my pictures were used for,
in order to keep them for my personal records.

My pictures are available either in electronic format (1024*768 pixels) or in printed form.

PRICE LIST
----------

Electronic JPG 1024*768 file : 50.00 €

Please note : print size is in cm.

20*30 print : 30.00 €

William Ronciere

Wouldnt they just copy and paste the 1024 version from a.net instead of pay you €50 for it?

Usually the price for a usage-license is set on what the image will be used for, in what media and the ammount of copies it will be printed in rather than just the size of the print.
BTW, are you selling the whole image including copyrights and such or just a usage-license?

I just printed one of your photos as a test. There is no visible watermark in it. It only printed well up to approx. 5"x7". The 8x10 didn't come out that well. Also, Photoshop 7 could not find a watermark, nor did another more specific program. What did you use to embed the watermark?

JeffM, Airliners.net automatically uses their own on every photo in the database for security. Taken from the "Use Photos" page:
The digital photos on this site are licensed to Airliners.net. They are equipped with a footer with copyright and license information and also carry an invisible watermark.

According to this, they can use the image internally indefinitely for no extra cost?

This line is confusing to me.

I'd be careful with such an open-ended statement. It's subject to a lot of different interpretations.
