I've just come across the C-750 which features 4.0 mega pixels and 10x optical zoom. Is this camera any good for aviation photography. Does anyone own this camera ? what are the ins and outs of this camera. Would love to hear more about this camera before I buy.

Thanks in advance.

If you look no more than a week back, there are several posts concerning the C-720 and -740 both of which are obviously in the same series from Olympus. I own a C-740 and it is alright for aviation photography. It takes some getting used to before you can master any real action shots. If that is what your budget limits you to, I guess go for it however if you can put in a little more money, go for one of the newer, relatively cheap DSLRs...

Most of my shot are taken with a Olympus C750. For now it's doing a great job until I can afford a 10D.

Here some shot I took with that Camera.

I don't have the C-750, but I've sure put some miles on my C-4040Z. It's also a 4.1 megapixel Olympus, with the Olympus Super-Bright lens, which in my humble opinion takes GREAT shots in low light.

The resolution is very good, and with a little work from Photoshop, I have greatly improved my acceptance rate here at airliners.net.

And, of course, now comes the shameless plug. Seriously though, even my night shots are pretty clear, and have good color separation. That's really hard to do in a "point-and-shoot" digital.

Enjoy!
