I think the shot looks great, but airliners doesnt always care for the 'artistic' variety. Try masking off the plane and see if you can lighten up the background. Maybe an appeal would be in order, hopefully a screener will have some insight.

Well I guess there's not much can be done about the bad-dark - any fix would ruin the shot for what it is. We all have shots we like which simply aren't deemed A.net material - to the advantage of certain other sites
BUT I would also agree with the "badscan" - look at the bottom of the aircraft, esp. the tail area - a little jagged and a very visible halo. A bit moe care on the sharpening is required I think.
