This is a sunset picture of a Southwest 737 landing it got rejected for bad dark AND bad scan. I don't agree with either but help I mean it is supposed to be dark. The aircraft that is.

I think the shot looks great, but airliners doesnt always care for the 'artistic' variety. Try masking off the plane and see if you can lighten up the background. Maybe an appeal would be in order, hopefully a screener will have some insight.

Good Luck-TJ

Paul...before you do anything rotate it so that the tower is straight up and down. That is a rejection right off!

I had one similar to that of the new Frontier A318 coming in past the San Diego skyline. I like the shot, but it was also rejected for baddark. While I like this shot, I think they will kick it.

Well I guess there's not much can be done about the bad-dark - any fix would ruin the shot for what it is. We all have shots we like which simply aren't deemed A.net material - to the advantage of certain other sites  Smile

BUT I would also agree with the "badscan" - look at the bottom of the aircraft, esp. the tail area - a little jagged and a very visible halo. A bit moe care on the sharpening is required I think.

Cheers,

Colin
