Hi fellows,

I'm a spotter and safety card collector from EDDF (Frankfurt).
I went to Australia 3 years ago.
Next year (April&Mai), I'll be back in "Down Under".

...are you a spotter in Sydney, Brisbane or Cairns??
Can you give me some tips??

Just drop me a line.
...would be great!  Wink/being sarcastic

Greetings

Sebastian

Hey Sebastian,

I'm not from Sydney, Brisbane or Cairns (actually I'm from around Melbourne - a little further south), but I think this site might be of interest to you regarding spotting at Sydney.

Try getting into contact with someone like Craig Murray, Glenn Stewart or Norbert Genci - there are plenty more of them at Sydney and I'm sure they'd be more than willing to help you out.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Soulman.

If you don't mind staying at a hostel instead of a hotel go to the SERPENT HOSTEL in Cairns. Not only is it one of the finest hostels I have ever seen downunder it is also really close to CNS airport and you can spot and photograph the lowflying A/Cs flying directly over the premises, and the best you can do it from the pool.  Big thumbs up

Which reminds me I still havent done that part of my trip report Embarrassment

The Metro might be the Sub(optimal)way

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get into the Botannical gardens at CNS for spotting from the hill..

My mom went there last time we were in oz but I didn't go, she said you could get a really good view of the airport from there.

Cheers

Dan
