Hi all

I am wondering if anyone can help with the approach frequency of SXM? I sat in my balcony all day but seems they all arrive in a sudden (I can't see the approach but only look towards the beach) Seems Air France just got in after I went for a swim!  Angry ALso is there a wesbite you can track arrival time of those jets into SXM...seems the airport doesn't have a website themselves?

Also a bit of warning, beaware of jet blast, a 757 US Air took off and I am at the top end of Rwy (on the beach) and the jet blast rolled me into the water, along with the horrible blowing sand....the wave covered me completely and my swim pants almost fell off Embarrassment .....it was a lot of fun riding the waves and plane arrive on your top, I got carried away forgot to grab cameras, but again with all the sands blowing around, it is hard to keep the camera and lenes clean.

Sam

Go over to the airport, I think inside the arrival area (shops etc were there). They have TV's up with arrival info.

Great to hear. Hey Sam, tell me, how was that jet blast like? If you wore sunglasses, would you do it again? Sounds like a, well, a blast!

DO tell how that went.

Thanks guys

Got the KLM MD-11 came in just as low as I want it!!!! I am excited to say at least!! There just couldn't be a better place than SXM on this planet....beside spotting, the island itself is just so charming, with turtoise clear and blue water...it really ate my heart out.....I will post the photo when finish my cruise after 14 Dec.

Manage to snap most heavy jets although most 757 came in quite high, the widebodies definity are the attractions. Dash 8s are way too high for a good decent photo. Lot of action in Sat. afternoon include 4 AA 757, 2 US 757, CO 73G, AF, KLM, BWIA, DCA MD80, ConquestSkyservice 319...all good to me!

Thanks guys for the info. Appreciated...although I mistakenly gave Royal the wrong dates to look up... Sad Anyone got some good shots in Barbados and St Thomas because of good spotting location but Martinique and Aruba are quite uninteresting, dominat by French/US airlines which can be seen anywhere really.
