I just replaced my Finepix S5000, and it is a great value-for-money camera.
In six months, here's what I observed :
Great battery life
Normal AA batteries w/ quick charger
Grid on LCD screen (anti "badangle")
Nice design and just the right weight.
A little lag when pressing the shutter button, making action shots tricky
Some noise in low light conditions

Well, UTA just god rid of its S5000, and sold it to me.
However, I had a C700 prior to it (still have it, and will certainly not get rid of it !), and was very satisfied with it (almost all my pics in the database were taken with it...). Keep in mind that the C750 is a 4 Mpixels, whereas the S5000 is only a 3. If my C700 had been a C750, I would certainly not have traded it for a S5000.
I'd say as long as the S5000 is more than 100$ less than the C750, stick with the C750, the extra Mpixel is well worth it, and if the quality has not dropped since the C700, you will not regret it. The Olympus has roughly the same defects and qualities as the Fuji, so... those were my 2 cents.
Now, fort the photos, here what my C700 was capable of (think of it as a 2 Mp C750)
