I just downloaded some addons for FS 2004 on http://www.flightsim.com, and to my utter surprise, I found that one of my pictures is in a zipped aircraft file !
Name: a320tap3.zip Size: 44,498,182 Date: 12-21-2003 Downloads: 4295
FS2004 Airbus A320-200 CFM56-5B4 CFM, a compilation of the best A320 modules. Compiled by Pedro Borges.
Very sad, as I usually grant photo use as long as it's non-profit.
This gentleman obviously didn't contact me...what should I do ?
And BTW, EI-CVA is not a TP aircraft.
Will, very displeased

Sue the goddamn bastard!!! That's definitely the picture judging by the shadows, the light spots, and the manual that the pilot is holding.
Call him up, but save the image, tell him about it, call your lawyer, and sue!
(Imagine what kind of camera you can buy with the money...)

Better Yet bring it to the attention of Nels Anderson of Flightsim.com or Lou Betti....They will take care of it for you...

I don't think that sueing the developper is appropriate here, the guy isn't even making money from it. He should have asked before using the picture though, just contact the author and the flightsim.com crew to let them know and they'll probably remove the file.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, with a 'wing view' add-on for FS2004. I just mailed the website hosting the file and they immediately deleted the file and said every single further upload by that person would get rejected...
The author of the file replied that he just asked his friends for wing view pics and that he didn't know the pic was made by somebody else. May I have my doubts about that?

Everyone knows that someone takes a picture, so taking a picture without contacting is wrong... I would seriously sue... (maybe I'm just sue happy...)

Vitaly,
How much do you think it would cost to hire an attorney for something like that?

Frenkly, as the guy is obviously not making any money with it, I don't really care. If it were an airline, now that would be an entirely diffrent matter.
I have named and shamed him in quite a few aviation and FS forums...I guess that is enough punishment.
BTW, his A320 cockpit addon doesn't even work
