HEAD SCREENER

Hi Everyone!!

About two months ago my good friend Reve started an afterschool job, with the vision of getting enough money to purchasing a DSLR camera. Until now, he has been using a smaller Olympus camera with great success, but wanted the extra mile a DSLR camera would bring him. Two weeks ago Jay Piboontum made Reve's dream come true by selling him, his used D-30.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
Well, from what I have seen, he has done a remarkable job with the camera. Just take a look at a few of his most recent uploads, and you will see what I mean. Job well done Reve!!

Paul

Totally agree with you. Regardless of what equipment he uses, Reve always manages to pull amazing shots. D30 definately brings more power to his creativity. Keep up the great work mate!!!  Smile

Excellent photog. I only wish he had more than 2 pages of pics! I bet the best way to put it, though, is "Now that he has a DSLR, getting his shots accepted is no longer a miracle nor a chore"

I still think this guy has the best SXM photo in the databse:

Recipe? Well, I 'm not Clovis but:

1. A great Camera (D30!)  Wink/being sarcastic
2. A Good lens
3. Decent light
4. Location
5. An eye for a good photograph
6. Photographers Skill

Mix them all up in a bowl, leave to rise for about half a day, and then bake for 10 minutes in Photoshop.

Cheers!

Yes............ I think that everyone who has been here for a while knows that Reve.......... Is Clovis Bouhier. That was hashed out in a BIG LONG thread about 5 or 6 months ago.
But let's stick to the topic of the thread and give Reve (Clovis) his due accolades. From what I have seen, he deserves many of them!  Big thumbs up

Clovis has asked that it be made clear he wasn't trying to trick anyone with the 'Reve' name-he just didn't feel like using his real name.

He has nothing to hide from Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Yea, Reve does have some nice photos and truly an amazing photographer for his young age.

Anyway, invest some money and perhaps you can get a Canon 100-400 IS.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Kevin

Is Reve Clovis's middle name or something? It does sound french, perhaps.

"Reve" is indeed french (OK, it would be "rêve", but anyway) and means "Dream". Perhaps Clovis was dreaming about getting a fair judgement here, even beeing screener of Jetphotos.net, who knows.....  Wink/being sarcastic

Why would the judgement not be fair Gerardo? Same for everybody... and that's not a 'rêve'...  Wink/being sarcastic

Hey,

Yes clovis is a great photographer and he deserves to have this attention.

Regarding the A vs J, it's funny to see that it is always those on the other site that make the big deal and not the other way around. A.net has a well laid out set of rules, if your not happy then why bother to cry around on here? After all nobody is forcing you to upload here and the site will always remain the best place to exhibit your pictures on the web.

Cheers,
Tim

Noone said it was a debate/competition, noone is crying around-Clovis is a good photographer and deserves some recognition that's all there is to it.

I'm not going to point fingers but maybe some people need to re-read this thread and look where it started going OT before talking about competition.
