In fact, it's a dilemma evry time I fly out of DUB (assuming RWY 28 is in use), do I sit on the right and get the airport overview shot or do I sit on the left and get to see my house
Any of you had the opportumity to overfly your city/town ?

Yes I have, I live about 6 or 7 miles from runway 06/24 at Amsterdam Schiphol but every time I fly in or out of AMS I have bad luck. Take off from wrong runway, or land wrong runway. Or if it is the correct runway to fly over my town, I'm on the wrong side of the plane, or I don't have a window seat.
On average I fly about 3 times in and out of AMS a year and since 18 years or so, I have been wanted to see my town from the air... but no luck so far.
O yea, last summer I overflew my town, I was a the right side of the plane, but........ it was dark Come to think of it, also once everything seem to be good, if it wasn't for that damn big cloud that was hanging above my town.
One day I'm sure I wil see it.
So if anyone is flying in to or out of AMS and especially runway 24/06 keep shooting!! I live about 2 or 3 minutes flying time from the coast.

When I had the chance to fly on one of Sabena's 747 goodbye flights, we flew next to my home town at an altitude of 4500 ft. I had a marvellous view of my home and the surroundings. Magnificent I must say. Too bad I only had a Canon point-and-shoot with me at that time, so no high-quality pics to upload
