Can Airliner Photos Get Better Than This. . .?

Nothing exemplifies my feelings for aviation/airliners better than when I come across pics like this one. I just had to give this photo some exposure. . .everything about it is perfect (in my airliner world). The grime and dirt. . .the weather. . .the dismal lighting. . .just down and dirty. . .it's great. You see, the beauty here is, there is no sunny beach, no lush backdrop, not even a colorful c/s. . .it's pure, nothing fancy here. When I see pics like this. . .my passion for aviation surfaces to a new high. Anybody else have similar feelings/pics?

I'll agree.
It shows what airliners really are....workhorses.

Photo is much better than the postcard perfect ones...

Hi all,

I can't agree more, another great shot from Derek, one of very many.

More to come from his SZG trip I am sure.

Great shot by Derek! Love that kind of shot.

My contribution has to be this recent effort from Luton - bitterly cold and wet day but this shot was worth the suffering!!!

PHOTO SCREENER

does the nose of the plane read "Seattle?"

If so, why?

Probably for the same reason you'll see city names on KLM's aircraft.

Many thanks indeed for all your kind words regarding the Transaero landing shot it’s very much appreciated!

If anyone is stuck for ideas as to an airport to visit then I would strongly recommend Salzburg it has some excellent aircraft to photograph-superb viewing /photographic locations all around the airfield-loads of great locals photographers and wonderful mountain backdrops if unlike me you go on a clear day

I will for sure be returning!
