Last January 6th I flew from Guadalajara, Mexico to Phoenix, AZ and between Tucson and PHX I shot this airport with lots of heavies. Does anybody knows what's the name of it? Apparently the runway is 12-30

Thanks,

Thanks Ivan, what a difference from 1993 to 2004. Now there are a lot more heavies.

Does anyone knows which airlines have their 747s there?

You're welcome  Wink/being sarcastic

Anyway, Northwest has some 747's there as well as Air Canada. Here's are some recent close-up that could help answer your question:

I don't know which airline owns the yellow 747's. The special livery Lufthansa B747-230F/SCD D-ABZF also used to be stored there, I don't know if it's still there.

The yellow 747's appear to be those of Philippine Airlines, judging by the tail. I'm guessing the yellow colour belongs to some sort of protective coating applied to the aircraft, as it is certainly not part of the airline's livery.

Hello all,

How do people get to tour around these kind's of places, if indeed that IS what they do?

Personally, I'd love to have a visit around Marana, Victorville, and the other yards where old and new a/c are stored.

Any idea's how I might go about arranging a visit?

Thanks everyone.
