Hi Chris,

A fair bit mate... a fair bit! But when I saw it advertised on Ebay for an all in cost of £364 (new!) I felt the time was right to drop the coinage and get myself the Bigma!

My next priority is to get a skylight filter to suit and get down to an aerodrome for some photography!

EDIT: WOW!!!  Wow!  Wow!  Wow!  Wow!
£59 to £95 for an 86mm Skylight filter!!! OUCH!

Cheers!

Rez, looking forward to hear more comments about the 170-500mm after you've tried it a couple of times, been peeking a bit on that one myself lately, would fit nicely in above my 70-200mm f/4 lens for those longer shots!  Smile

Well if the weather forecast comes true for the UK, expect plently of snowy shots!!

Rez needs to get his thermals looked out. The lens works great in the cold...for me anyway as it's always cold up here.

Sorry for the delay in responding...

Weather wise... yep it was sunny today though sadly the wife had the car today so no quick trips to EMA...Sadly!

First impressions... solid, well built, big, not too heavy, surprisingly stiff zoom action!

As soon as I have actual experience first impressions I'll be right back.

Oops did I post again on a forbidden post Looks like...

Henry,

Airshow wise, I'll almost certainly be at Waddington, Fairford and Farnborough. I'd also like to try one of the Duxford shows this year...been a while since I was there!
