Does anyone have an idea of why this picture was rejected for badmotiv?

Thanks,

At a guess.....because you weren't really showing anything in particular. There was no real motive to the window shot. Just cloud outside. It's not to say there's anything wrong with the picture - just not what airliners.net want in their database

It's an plain window view. Nothing interesting going on. Try shooting at sunrise/sunset for more dramatic skies. Or find something interesting on the ground.

Just to make it a bit easier...

Most accepted window views have a dramatic sky or some other view. The view here is cloud tops and not much else. As noted above try shooting at sunset/sunrise or when there are dramatic cloud formations etc...

It is a very plain picture but there are plenty of those on this website too.

Do these pictures (all recently accepted into the database) have something that mine doesn't have (other than winglets  Laugh out loud)?

I don't really care for these type of photos in general (my personal preference)...But if you want to save yourself anguish don't compare your work with others...Doing the "these made it why didn't mine" will just frustrate you. Concentrate on your own quality product. If you think your photo deserves another shot use the appeal function. I don't see the quality in your photo and the sky is rather bland. (please take as constructive critique).

Just my 2 cents. T.

In response to your comparisons, the first pic is more exciting because of the ocean and the connection to SXM. The second one has the emirates emblem. The clouds in the third one are more inticing. And the fourth one has more view of the ground, or at least lower alltitudes. These are some differences, I'm not saying that yours is worse or better

Thanks for your comments everyone.
2912n, I'm not angry or anything that it wasn't accepted, I simply wanted to know what the specific reason for rejection of this pic might have been, and I was wondering what the differences are between my own photo and some of those that have made it in. But thank you for the comment, I see what I should improve next time.
