Stephen,
I just went to that site, and he openly complains on the first page about your (and someone else's) email and the removal of the pictures. This guy obviously doesn't know that to use someone else's pictures, you need to ask permission. Politely asking for the use gets you a lot further in life than just taking. He'll learn one day, I guess...
Cheers,
Eduard

Hmmm, I would just like to say I was contacted by the editor of a Dutch/Belgian aviation news site who informed me that one of my photos was being used with out any kind of copyright/referencing information. It would appear that the owner/editor of the website in question is taking news from my Dutch/Belgian friend and photos from photographers contributing to this site and claiming to be his (without any kind of reference).
When I studied toward my Honours Degree this kind of practice was called plagiarism and therefore ILLEGAL.
Eduard, I have just visited the site again and you are right - again I don't understand Dutch so could someone please translate his message:-
I find the message quite offensive as all he had to do was e-mail me and ask for permission (like others) and it would have been granted instead he rips me and others off claiming (implying) all work is his but when the circle tightens names me not others!!!

All news messages are temporarily on hold because 2 photographers didnt agree with me putting 1 of their shots on this site. One of them (Stephen Fox) says that if I want to have a pic of his on my site for 1 year, he wants 300 euros, or else he will sue me and this site (which happens to not be a company). This is very exagerated. In a while the site will be fully operational!

Wietse,
Thanks for translating the message, what is meant by 'egoism'?
Would just like to add, the purpose of the post was to inform fellow airliners.net photographers and crew that their work was being used in an inappropriate manner and as a united front should act against plagiarism.
