Hi everybody,

I got the following shot rejected:

It was rejected for low quality. Any tips to improve the shot?

I assume it's a scanned slide, am I right?
First thing that comes to my mind when I see your picture is that the colours are a bit off.. The sky seems a bit turqoise...

The fuselage is overexposed showing no detail (especially around the cockpit area), it's also shot under very harsh sunlight and no detail is shown on the underside of the wing.
Your camera seems to over-expose (I looked at your other pictures), I suggest you lower the exposure level a little bit.

I see a bit of different cropping to be done.

Besides that the colours are fine. Maybe the wing is a bit too dark.

On a side note: I took a photo of the same a/c and also had it rejected for badscan. Unlucky a/c?  Big grin

How much A is there is Airliners Net ? 0 or nothing ?

Thank you for your opinions! They're really appreciated.  Smile

Nevertheless at the moment I have no idea what to change exactly as you all mentioned different things. Eduard, on my monitor the sky doesn't look turquoise at all (and I believe that I have calibrated my monitor correctly). I agree to Peter's statement about the overexposure and Codeshare's one about the dark wing. I will rescan the slide and try to improve it.

Btw, Codeshare, how would you crop this shot in a different way?

Hi Frank,

I think that Codeshare meant that the shot is vertical a bit badcentered... Too much "deadspace" in the upper part of that shot.

just my 2 cents Big grin

BTW: Hope to meet you again at XFW in the near future.

Hi Tobi,

hmm, that's the way I crop all my shots. But it wasn't rejected because of this anyway, so I consider this a rather minor problem.

Btw, I have just returned from Hamburg-Finkenwerder (XFW), not much traffic apart from two Air Malta A319.
