Also, one more thing. when you check your photo stats and it tells you how many are in the queue (total), it will say something like __ waiting for Johan and ___ wiating for the Screeners. Does that number for Johan include all appeals in the appeal queue or just regular queue photos that have been left to Johan for final decision?

>this could be worked into the photo stats section
We really need that username/password thingy for photographers to be operational before anything like that could be implemented. For photographers to have their forum user associated with their photos so that it can be used to check photo print sales, view detailed stats, change email, name etc in the photo database is something I've been planning for three years or so. The complexity of the operation together with the always present list of more important things to do have delayed it over and over again. I am hopeful it will get done real soon now.
>Does this mean that appeals will be screened in less than 3 months now?
I cannot promise anything but I will try to keep up with the queue. The problem is, the queue increase more quickly the shorter it is (due to the limit of 2 photos max). So the more often I screen it, the more work I get.
>Does that number for Johan include all appeals in the appeal queue
No. Those are photos that the screener were uncertain about and left for me. The appeals queue should have an entry of its own on the stats page.
>Why appeal they only get rejected any way or you never hear what has gone on
A very large percentage of the appeals are rejected with the same reason as the screeners initially rejected with. The chance that my view differs from the view of the screener when dealing with a "normal", non-rare photo is minute. Appeal your special, rare shots. As these are much harder to screen there's a bigger chance that I choose to accept due to its rarity even though the quality might be lacking some.
If you do not get a confirmation email even though the stats page tells you the appeals have been screened and they are not in the main database, you can safely assume they were rejected. I know this isn't good at all but cannot seem to find the bug that causes this to happen. Under some very special circumstances, confirmation emails are not sent out it seems. It is a very rare occurrence though and emails are sent out in 99% of all cases.
