Hi,

Some nice pics you got there.
What was the reject reason, bad motive?

I think the fence in the front of the shot spoils it. It makes you focus on the fence instead of the aircraft.

Plus, both pics are very grainy, what camera are you using.
Also, re-size your pics to 1024x..., these photos are way too big!

Hope this helps!

I agree, nice shots!

But the quality lets them down!  Sad

OK I resized the original pic, and made some adjustments to the sharpness. There is not a whole lot I can do about the fence obviously but what do you think now?

Still looks very grainy, theres not too much you can do.
What camera do you use, this will affect the quality of the photos.

Much better than the other ones though!

Hi Chris,

Simon's right the fence does somewhat spoil them. Other observations for you to consider:

1. Why so big? I'm running a 21" monitor at 1600x1200 and still had to scroll the picture to get it all!

2. I see you're using a Sony F-828. What ISO setting do you use at it looks bit grainy to me.

3. What post-processing have you done to the image?

Looking forward to your answers.

Cheers!

Rez

Hey guys, I'm not sure the camera model but I do know it was in fact a Sony. It belonged to a friend of mine so I don't have access to that info now. As far as post image processing, I just resized them and sharpened once using PSP8.

Hannigan,

To get rid of the grain (noise), try using this program, I do and it's great once you get used to it.

Great pics by the way.

Have fun!!

For the US Airways, the fence could be a problem.

Sorry to tell you, but I don't think you can make this 2 pictures A.net quality  Insane

I think you should go out again and try to make pictures without the fence (if possible?) and resize them! To 1024x 7** pixels!

Keep going strong

I don't think grain is the main problem, its the sharpness. The first photo is slightly overexposed and they are both soft, and obviously the fence is in the way.

Hello there,
I think if you avoid fences in foreground of your pictures and also make sure they are sharp enough they could be considered for entry in the database.

A good general rule is to avoid disturbing objects in front of the plane.

Good luck and thank you for trying so hard. I am sure you will succeed eventually.

Best regards,

Stefan
