Hey all,
Just wanted to let you know that we had a great day at AMS today, with a special visitor, mr Konstantin von Wedelstaedt from Frankfurt. Loads of great planes and superb weather made it a superb day. The shots will be on A.net in no time, looking at the lovely possibilities we had.
here is a group shot:
from left to right:
Wietse de Graaf, Eduard Brantjes, Konstantin von Wedelstaedt, Tim de Groot.

Canon glass all the way between Dutch channels!!
Unfortuntely no AMS for me this long weekend, did some [paid?] photo shooting at world famous Seppe airfield! Got a Yak-52, Grob-115, C-150, C-172, and some stuff that I still need to identify.
Great to see that you had this nice weather.
Harm
PS. Did you crossbeam????

My thoughts exactly, Harm, in regards to Canon. Woo!
Glad to hear you guys had yet another successful day of spotting. I know I came home with a biatche of a sunburn on Saturday, all around my neck and face. Looks like it was just perfect in the Netherlands, though...

Nice to see the 'addicted to Canon L glass' group had a nice day at AMS By the way, how did you guys manage to get there between those two canals? I assume you guyse rented a mini boat?

Tim's neck is thick enough even to hold all that Canon glass???
Ivan,
Good Dutch tradition [actually it's a Fries tradition, from nortern part of the Netherlands] is used to jump the canals: it's called fierljeppen. It's a sort of pole to jump over the canals. Given the fact that Konstantin is dry, that must mean the sun did a good job!
Joe, you may not believe this, but AMS spotters lost a great number of fabulous photo spots over the past 10 years . . .

1. So great to see all that Canon glass, yes.
2. It's great also to see threads like this of others in our hobby having great times like this. Thought on other sides of the plane,t we can all relate and appreciate how good of a time we can have doing this.
3rd, and most importantly, Joe, that was the most blatant way to get hits I've ever seen! LOL. I love it.
Weitse, how old are you, if you don't mind my asking. You seem young, and I've always thought, maybe with your high caliber of photos, that you'd be much older.

Yup that was one lucky shot.... Tim was not paying attention, Eduard was changing lenses and Konstantin had the wrong lens attached... so I was pretty much the only one to see that...

Oh and to top it off, that contrail is a LH Airbus 340-600

Wietse, that's absolutely brilliant stuff!!! Can't wait to see the A.net versions! Just get rid of some dust spots, and your average view will hit 1000 in no time!
Holy canal
You can see the Nr.4 jetwash against the contrails . . . freaking good.
Mark Garfinkel would have been proud.
