Hi there folks,
As the weather was fine, me and fellow photographer Chris Sharps hit LHR for the day. There were a few crowds of spotters/photographers at the 27R threshold and at Myrtle when they switched over. We thought we see some familiar faces but weren't too sure

And an Evergreen performing the most amazing approach you will see on a civilian aircraft.747-100 with one engine shut down and the other 3 not working properly performing an 'S' approach starting at 3,700FT at 4DME!

Yes I was there with my 100-400 lens I took photos of the Evergreen doing the 'S' turn on approach, I have uploaded them this morning, but don't know how long they will take to be screened, I have marked them as incident on the upload page

Yep i was there aswell. Got a good picture of the Evergreen and it has already been download. Entered as urgent but rejected by the screener as their are no visual signs of distress (ie smoke from engine). In my haste to get the photo downloaded i even over sharpened it and it got rejected due to jaggies :-(
Great day there must have been at least 50-80 people by the huts on 27R.

I got an email a couple of days ago from Evergreen's air ops, they asked if I had any shots of the approach as they were interested in seeing them-I sent them a couple that really show how high above the glideslope this aircraft was.
Did they contact anyone else?
Matt
