The image quality of these photos is low. This may be the result of several
perceived problems happening simultaneously, such as grain, blur, lighting,
contrast or color defects, which would lead us to believe that a fresh scan
(in the case of a non-digital image) or a complete rework starting with the
original camera file (in the case of a digitally taken image)would be necessary,
rather than a simple adjustment to the uploaded file.
I know the link is not clickable dont know how to do it ... , pls explain.
I do seldom post a thread re rejections , but htis time I am just unsure what the prob is .... , my rejetcion has been very low, though I get rejections for pics where I "just try" to get them on the site .... , following is just a example:
(Lufthansa CityLine Canadair CL-600-2B19 Regional Jet CRJ-200LR)

Well, are these that unsharp? dont know exactly ...... , anyway , give me a headsup on the 2 pics ...... , I should rather try the following when SA 346 is coming to ZRH on Saturday
But I bet I will have a "bad motive" rejection again. Screeners, dont get me wrong , I am not complainig, just asking for an advice. My rejection rate was nearly Zero the recent times ..... I have seen so many pics in recent times , which not have been perfect. so where is the prob with the 2 rejectd above?

Tach Robin,
I'm afraid I would have to agree with both screenings. Both are kind of grainy, especially the second one. In the first one, it's mainly the sky. Plus, I would think that one would also be rejected for badexposure, since the underside of the Concorde is kind of dark. In the second one, it is more noticeable. If you look on the bottom left corner of the picture, you can really see the grain. I am not sure how you can get rid of it. What post-processing did you do? If you sharpened, I think it may be a bit too much. However, I'm not so experienced yet with photography, so I could be way off, but that's my view. I really do like the shots though! Hopefully you can get them fixed up, and added to the db! Good luck, and also good luck with getting the 346!
Sebastian
P.S. to make links clickable, just add "<" to the front of the full link, and ">" to the end, like so:
The first one won't work since you have one of the airport (LHR) shorts in it. But here is the second one:

Robin:
Why not try a Neat Image or so to kind of getting the grain out?
Try also the 2nd one on 1024 pixels maybe you can get better quality along with the NeatImage

Perhaps it's my monitor here in the office, but I don't see any disturbing grain at all... No need for NeatImage if you ask me, unless you want to make the Concorde look like a plastic 1:200 model...
And again, perhaps it's due to my monitor, but the sky around the Concorde looks awfully blue/purple! I've never see a sky like that before! Other than that they're nice sharp pics.
Cheers,
Eduard

Robin,
Concorde: It's a nice shot. Full frame on a slide... wow! But unfortunately, the Concorde's undercarriage is very dark. Details cannot be seen there. That's killing the picture. But still: Great photo! Have you tried
Canadair: As mentioned above, I would also try that one with 1024 pixel. That should help.
I'm looking forward to the A346 too! I just hope for good weather. Will you join the morning tour?

Robin,
the Concorde shot is very nice indeed... Why don't you try to light up the undercarriage a bit in PS? Try it and see how it works... If you need some help give me a shout via email or just call me tonight...
The time at Heathrow with Benji and you was really great, although the 24th was a really sad day for all of us...
I can remeber that special moment very well... But hey, we saw 4 of the BA Concorde's
