The 19:th of April is the day of the UEFA Cup final in Gothenburg.
A little info for all you spotters in the Gothenburg area:
Between the 18:th and the 19:th there will be roughly 120 additional flights landing at Landvetter Airport. The LFV (Swedish Civil Aviation Administration) seems to be a little reluctant to give out info about these flights (perhaps caused by concern over players safety) but flights will be shown in "FIDS" as soon as they're available. The majority of these will departure GOT starting at about lunch hour on the 20:th.
One thing has crossed my mind: If there will be 120 additional flights here, and this airport only has like 72 stands... where are the 50 other planes going to be parked? After what I understand, most of these plans are charters, and will spend the night at GOT.... I guess it's going to be crowded here
To bad this is probably the worst airport imaginable to take photos at... The security is ridiculous, you'd be lucky if you can even see an airplane before it's 300 ft in the air...
If you have any flight information about the charters arriving to UEFA Cup, please feel free to post it here... maybe you work at a handling company and has some sort of inside information...?

From what I've heard many of the planes will come in with supporters, leave them and then return for normal charterwork during the day. Later at night they will come back again to lift all the fans out.
BTW, Jiggles, can you drop me a line by mail please? E-mail in my profile.
Just like birdwatching - without having to be so damned quiet!

Well.... there are certain locations to be at when taking photos... Robert knows more about where, I'm going to be out there taking photos for the first time.... I'll be wearing a Corvette Racing cap and a Canon Eos5 with the basic lens, and an earplug... maybe I'll see you guys there...
Although I am working at the freight hangars I'm not familiar with any GOOD spots... but, there must be a couple, there are some great photos here on a.net that were shot at GOT...
You're right Robert, many of them will indeed just drop the fans of, but I spoke to the guys at the apron, they told me they didn't exactly know where to park all the a/c:S at yet... He might just have been exaggerated, but it sounded as if the entire airport would be packed with aircrafts...
If I can find the time for it, I will check the FIDS tomorrow, major parts of the flights should be in there by tomorrow.... I will put them on here, I will also print them, so if I shall meet you guys, you will get a paper copy...

GOT is what you make of it! It is however a notoriously unfriendly a/p for the spotter!! If they're landing 21, then the freight hangars, aka DHL end, will probably be the best bet. The light will probably be better suited there anyway. You've got a good 3-4 minutes from seeing them turn finals, until they become in range. From here you're going to get the run-of-the-mill approach shot, nothing spectacular. As to what the a/c will do, my bet is they'll drop of their loads, return to warmer climates, then pick the PAX up again later on. I can't honestly see that many a/c being parked up, remotely or not, at GOT all day, it wouldn't make sense. As I mentioned in another thread, I think Gothenburg City/Säve will see a few MOVs, it's my hope anyway! A good bet for the rarer BJs and such. One thing to note at GOT, and that's airport security. They always seem to be on the prowl here! I suggest being pleasant with them, (might not help, but arguing will certainly not aid you either!), let them know what you're up to, and with any luck they'll be on their way. But, like I said, they're out and about! Beware.. Anyway, good spotting to those coming over, I'll be there in the silver Nissan, blue latex leggings, pink sombrero and a fake moustach. Oh, and the gold plated 10D!!
