I really have to say that I totally enjoy these pictures from AMS. They are very lucky to have such a spotter friendly airport with such a nice traffic. But let's not forget that it needs a lot more to get these kind of shots. Some of the guys from AMS surely belong to the best photographers out there  Smile

(By the way, Heathrow has still got 4000 pictures more on the database :P:P) but I get your point, at the moment there are much more uploads from AMS and nicer ones!

hm I am disappointed Enrique, thought I had some nice ones too !  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
btw it's Wietse de Graaf not Graff which sounds German and he won't be pleased with that hehe  Laugh out loud just a silly joke.
M. Bouwhuizen is Martin Boschhuizen.

Anyway we do have a nice airport with great photo opportunities but it is getting less friendly lately due to 9-11 I guess.
Still not bad though.

You're always welcome here at AMS. I think it is a great place, lots of traffic, not too many fences, friendly ppl. many photo-opportunities...

Lately the weather has been very good for photographers.

Kind regards,
Erwin

The reason to post this thread was to notice the important pack of spotters in AMS and the impressive contribution nowadays to the database as well in the forum.
I'm very pleased to see all of these astonishing pictures.

Sorry for the bad spelling  Innocent but believe me if I tell you how difficult is to write your names. Do not forget that english is quite difficult to speak and write! The effort we (spanish, french, italian...) have to do is, for me, the hardest step to climb....

I noticed that at the time I posted this, in the most popular of last 24/48hrs, AMS took 5 out of first 6, 6 out of first 15, and 18 of first 60! Maybe we should do a new thread of most photo's from your local airport . . .

I noted yesterday that the "Vijfhuizer weg" to the Polderbaan will be closed as of july 7th. Will this be permanent? If so, I guess that the only way to reach the 36L/18R is by bike!

There is also a road from Hoofddorp to 36L/18R besides I don't think it will be permanent as there are people living along that road....... With cars.

Karlok,

That Sigma 70-200 is an amazing sharp piece of glass. It's my favorite lens for airplane photography at AMS. What camera do you have on it?
