I'm flying form LGA to DEN on Frontier Flight 793, landing at DEN at 11:25AM, and then going form DEN-LAX on Flight 406 at 305PM.

I spoke with a few of you folks already, but wanted to reach you all at once. Would anyone be willing to meet up in the airport and doing something for a few short hours?

-Phil

I'll definitely come out for about an hour or maybe 2, I got work from 2 o'clock...

Hopefully you'll leave the terminals because us non-badged folks cannot be inside the perimeters, but we can be in the Jeppessen terminal (the white clouds)...

Hope to see you then.

I think I am going to be in Salt Lake that week, but if things change I'll come out. Found another good spot to take a few shots from with a slightly different angle, but damn did the police swarm all over me. And it is a public area, gonna try it again though.

Here is the location:

West side of the main terminal, level 4 or 5, can't remember. Follow the exit road down and around toward where you pay to leave. There is a bike path, just walk down it, but be careful, don't step over the guard rail like I did, the police don't like it.

I dont know the airport, so you folks will have to explain to me where to meet you. You folks see my flight info, so just kinda explain to me where I'd have to be to leave the secured area nd come to where you folks would be. Then we can do wahtever until I have to get back on the plane.

In fact, we should probably discus the plans HERE, so everyone is kept in the loop.

Let's email each other any cell phone numbers for additional contact, though.

OK, pretty much all you have to do to leave the secured area of the A concourse (F9's concourse) is to head toward the center of the concourse. In the center, you will find a big atrium, with escalators going down into an open area a few floors below you. That is how you access the trains to the Main terminal. Just follow the directions to which train to get on, it is pretty easy, there are tracks on two sides of the floor, one set of tracks goes out to the other concourses, and on the other side the other set of tracks heads back into the terminal.

If that isn't your cup of tea, you might prefer the SkyBridge (I know I would). Again, just head toward the center of the concourse, but this time stay on the top level, there should be signs directing you to the bridge.

Inside the terminal, it will probably be pretty easy to find you, the train passengers all funnel out into one little area, same with the skybridge.

Now, as for where we will actually m+eat at, remains to be seen.

Anyway, Phil if you have any questions, just shoot me an e-mail

Phil, Aaron here.

Like I said, on July 7th, I will meet you at your gate. I work at the Airport for Alaska Airlines and can get through security. I will come get you and show you around, anyone else coming out can meet up with us..

Let me know.. I already sent you an email, but you never replied.

Thanks

Ok, it looks like aaron has you covered, nevermind what I said.

Anyway, would 3.5 hours be enough time for a quick trip to applebees? Nah probably not. Any good places inside the terminal to have some good chow? or maybe head outside for some mid-day heat-haze-laiden shots?

Phil,

I will be there with Aaron meeting you at your gate as well. Shoot me an email; you know my address or you can get it from Art.

Looking forward to your visit,

Alex.

Ok, cool. Meeting me at my gate is great, thanks Aaron.

I guess you DEN guys will meet up together outside of security and then come i to meet me by 11:25?

From there, I DO want to take at least a few pictures of DEN. I know I'll want (need) food, too, of course. I don't mind what we do, as long as I can get a couple pics at least and make my 3:05 flight.

I'll start contacting you folks who are coming to give you my cell phone number just in case.

Thanks a lot guys,

-Phil

I'm actually flying from LGA-DEN that day on UAL 405 (gets in at 1:23) then connect to COS (don't ask me why lol) at 2:30. If you guys stay in the terminal I'd love to meet up! I'll give Phil a call and see if you leave the terminal area or not!

I think this calls for a semi-diplomatic dinner (lunch really) at around 12 or so...

I'll most likely come out and NOT go past security, however, all us non-badged people should meet up somewhere...

Eric, Jeff... any others that might come out? Let's figure out a place to meet up outside security and then meet up with Alex, Aaron, and Phil.

Ah, I'm back in DEN tonight after a 2 week road trip w/ family. Went to the USGP in Indy and to visit relatives in Michigan, and I'd post some pictures, but I doubt anyone would be interested. And I must say, the movement of I-70 by the FX hub, to make room for a larger FX ramp, is coming along nicely. All I can say is that I'm happy I missed the weather that Eric caused by wanting to go spot- Actually I think it was caused by me leaving  Big grin. In any event, count me in for the meet!

Cops, eh, depends on where you spot/park. If you park along the road in some spots, they chase you, but not if you walk in. Out by the 35's I just park on the side of the road and the security guards pass me, alot actually.

I think we should meet up right where the skybridge connects to the terminal, and as the trend goes, whenever I'm at the airport, the weather turns to shit, so lets hope that this trip breaks the cycle  Nuts

Anyway, you guys have my e-mail, and I'll probably be there, I don't know my work schedule, but they usually work me at 3pm or later, which gives me at least some time to head up, ideally I'll have the day off.

Eric

I definitely think we should meet right by the entrance to the Bridge and act like we're meeting someone (well, we are) and stand thee until Phil, Aaron and Alex come out.

We should all meet at about 11 o'clock on the 7th.

I had another idea, this one might be easier on our wallets,

we meet up at the conoco parking lot, around 11, then we all pile into one or two cars, then head in, and split the cost of parking.

Make it easier on ourselves.

That's fine... Depending on how many people show up, we use my car... and maybe someone elses if it gets too crowded...

Pretty good idea.
