Can I Salvage This "badmotiv?"

Got this tossed for badmotiv. Any thoughts on why the motive is bad? Personally, I enjoy shots like these, but I'd like to know the general consensus on these types of photos. Should I clean it up and try again (and shrink it down as well) or is this photo just not for a.net?

Thanks all. I'm still learning what's acceptable and not acceptable here  Smile

I guess the direct sun or sun glare....... not "A.net Style" although I personally love the photo.

Better luck next time!

Hahaha... BadMotive for the mere fact that the biggest lens flare in the shot is right on the plane. Kinda spoils the fun.

It reminded me of...

I'd imagine too burnt out in the middle with the sun and the lens flare.

Next time use an ND filter to stop the over exposure? And have the rest too dark??

Wait for a cloud?

No winning this one without lots of PS (or other) I'd guess.

I agree with everyone above, and to me it also looks a bit grainy.

Too much sun. It is almost hard to look at. Maybe if the sun was behind more of the cloud..? Make it a personal favorite, keep the size at 1024x XXX in the future, it makes things a lot easier.

Thanks guys. I love the shot too and will definitely keep it a fave  Smile I might try tweaking it to see what I get, but I'll probably just go back to the flight line at sunset and practice these difficult shots.

JeffM: Yeah, I learned about the sizing thing in another post. My uploads from herein are going to be 1280 and under! I have to get used to how small they look. My comp's set to a high resolution so 1024 looks miniscule  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
