I decided to go to Farnborough this year, bought a ticket AMS-LGW-AMS with BA for the 24th and got entrance tickets online.
My plan is to shoot as many pictures as I can. But this will also be the first major airshow I'm visiting. So, I would be very grateful if somebody more experienced could provide me with some good tips or things I should know before going there

Don't expect too much - the public days will be packed., making static shots tough. You shuold be able to get flying ones, but when it is so busy people tend to walk in front of you all the time unless you get right to the front!
No trees were harmed by this message. However, several million electrons were terribly inconvenienced

I'm not doing the two weeks apart from the public days due to the amount of people that get in the way
Get there as early as you can and you have two choices. Either set up camp on the crowd line ready for the display and shoot the static later or go and shoot the static and then take your chances to get a clear spot on the fence later.
