I wouldlike topark as near as I can so I don't have the kids moaning about the walk. This part of the runway is out of range from my local A to Z map.
I know how to get to the 24L threshold no problems.
Flying may not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price.

I visit MAN a couple of times a month and venture over to the southside of the airport if the weather is good and I intend staying for a few hours to avoid parking charges. I seen signs for the "Bridle way" and have taken photo's from the location in these shots at the threshold of 24L
MAN is my local airport and in nearly 20 years of spotting I only discovered the southside last year and I feel a bit embarrassed that I don't know this airport like the back of my hand.
I drove into Wilmslow and tried going down some country lanes a few weeks ago to see if I could find any new vantage points and ended up getting lost.
Flying may not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price.

OK, when coming from the view park towards Wilmslow go through the two tunnels and at the r/bout turn left then right and park down the little lane at the side of the Moat House Hotel.
Walk back towards the r/bout and look across the road and you will see some steps going up the embankment. Walk up these steps and there is a footpath that will lead you to the touch-down point.
I have never been along there yet, they are always on 24L when I am there, but a friend of mine has shown me his photos and they look good.
I will be there tomorrow and if they are on 06 I will try it out.

There are roads to get even closer but they are harder still to try to explain and take a bit of exploring to find.

OK heres the easiest way of getting to that spot:
Drive through Wilmslow and down Water Lane (Where McDonalnds is along) so you are leaving the town centre.
When you come to the Texaco station on the left, look out for Mobberly Road forking away to the left, turn down here. (follow the sign for the golf club)
Carry along here until u reach Mobberly Golf Club on your left, and take the next right turn onto a small lane. (road begins with B..)
Drive down here for around a mile (passing the sign that says dead end), and look out for Ostler's Lane on the left, go down here.
After a while the road forks, take the road to the right and drive right to the end and you have arrived!
