I have a photo op coming up in Hawaii soon that will require a fisheye lens, maybe something around 25mm or so. Are their any places I could rent this type of lens over there?

I dont want to waste my money I have toward my Canon 300mm F/2.8 on this lens, so renting it is my choice at the moment.

Thanks.

do you want a wide-angle or are you looking for the fisheye effect?

On your 300D you are going to need to go way wider than 25mm to get a fisheye effect, more like 10.5mm.

Lens rentals in Hawaii don't seem to exist. Try a post on dpreview or use Google...

I just want something that makes the aircraft have the bend effect...

More than this...

I might have to go with a 14mm then.

Chad, you gotta go wider than 14mm to get the bend. 14 on your Canon will get you 23 effective.

I see what you mean now... That F4 shot was at 18mm, and started to give that bendy look. I suppose Ill have to go with one of these this time.

As far as Hawaii gos, as many tourists that go there, it seems renting lenses would be an easy money maker.

you can rent one of those here in Seattle, have em overnight it to you, would be $20/day.
