Spot The Difference - Kerry/Edwards 757

My apologies if this has been discussed before. I couldn't find proof it has.

While following the history of an ex Royal Airlines 757, I came across these two photos which shows a slight variation in the livery. (hint: star-spangled banner)

In a Civ-Av thread (http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/1672058/6/), someone indicated the plane had some mx issues. I imagine the livery update occurred during the down-time. I also wonder why the slight change...

Oh its a big difference! One was shot before Kerry had chosen a running mate "John Kerry" and the other was after Edwards joined the ticket "Kerry/Edwards" so that required a little adjustment to the livery...

I see it...on the tail the updated livery has three red stars as opposed to the red/white/blue of the old one...wonder why?

The aircraft was parked at MIA yesterday, presumably for maintenance. I wonder why they switched to three red stars instead of the red, white and light blue ones?

I was also wondering about the American flag. It has 10 rows of 5 stars instead of 5 rows of 6 stars and 4 rows of 5 stars.
